I played on Sunday....and should be the next one.

I've a mate who's skipper and I make up the numbers if needed and available...spent most of Sunday in the pavilion watching the Test though, as we batted first and I wasn't required, which suited me just fine.

Bishops Cannings Cricket Club formed in 1989 and my dad was one of the founding blokes

I'd always go and watch him, then once i could walk joined the new youth setup, progressed from the u7's right up until the u16's and senior side

My Dad was a regular for the local side, i got involved after gaining interest watching England on the telly. Still fairly useless, i probably don't play regularly enough to get any good at either discipline, but i am an excellent fielder Cool

There's gotta be loads of clubs around your way SY......probably full of middle class tossers mind....I recall some years back playing at Williamstrip, which was this huge house up near Coln St Aldwyns in Glos.

Had a cricket pitch in the grounds....its now owned by Sir Tim Rice...which is probably why he bought it....that'd be a good side to involved  with.

Calne is an ideal place to play at, not too competitive, its all good fun.

Goatacre want me to join them, but they all seem so serious over there, all well and good, but thats because goatacre have such a good history behind them.

Here's some valid comments on why Sonic has got a bit more interested in cricket at the mo, methinks...

I really want to play somewhere I can find out if I'm still any good because it might turn out I'm rubbish. Can I just walk up to a club and say I'd like to play?

I still think we should have a Forum cricket team, especially now we know Village can field.....that way SY you could showcase your talents in a deferred success environment.
