Yep.  I was listening to all that on the box thinking shit ....

I am pretty sure they will go up though even if it is via the play offs!

If it happens, it happens. No point getting worried about it.

Been watching them myself.

I'm holding onto the thought the West Ham board would consider PDC not to have been tested sufficiently yet.

Far too early in PDC's career to be managing a club of that size.  I would be very surprised if West Ham considered him at this point.  Besides which, he's on a learning curve with us.  League 1 next season ratchets things up nicely for him in terms of the experience he will gain.  I'm as confident as I can be that he will be leading us out again next season.  Beyond that, harder to tell.

I tend to agree with this...also, PDC is an intelligent man, he will know that if he moves up a level too early, and it goes tits up, it will damge his reputaton hugely...

Plenty of other managers that could get the job. McCarthy and Bruce to name a few

True there are other managers who could get the job.

However the West Ham board would come under massive pressure if they failed to go up and a good way to ease that would be to give the fans what they want.

their support is generally moronic & they think they are a bigger club than they really are

If i was PDC i would question if i would want to manage a team where the fans sing for another man when they are 3rd in the league with a game in hand are unbeaten in the last 7 games

Sounds very much like Di Matteos management career path.

Would this be the Di Matteo who is currently manager of Chelsea?

According to several fans on the Hammers forums they hate the bloke with a passion and quotes like....

Quote
he is great at not losing -but clueless at winning

Yes by default. He won't be manager there next season I would bet on that.
