Title: Pre-season friendlies Post by: Combe Down on Saturday, May 16, 2015, 10:34:13 To take our mind off the numerous Wembley threads, which tbh are becoming a little tedious with still over a week until the match, any news on pre-season friendlies?
In previous years we have had details of some matches announced before the end of the regular season. Any tour this year I wonder? In previous years we have had details of some matches announced before the end of the regular season. Any tour this year I wonder? As our current season isn't over yet I assume we're holding off on announcing next season's friendlies. Saves the players and the back-room staff getting distracted. No need to discuss them yet. Title: Re: Pre-season friendlies Post by: THE FLASH on Saturday, May 16, 2015, 11:29:47 FGR and Supermarine.
Then add a few more. Title: Re: Pre-season friendlies Post by: Jimmy Glass is an Alien on Saturday, May 16, 2015, 11:42:15 I wouldn't mind a trip to FGR.
Title: Re: Pre-season friendlies Post by: Berniman on Saturday, May 16, 2015, 11:43:59 Aston Villa

Title: Re: Pre-season friendlies Post by: Combe Down on Saturday, May 16, 2015, 12:33:14 Redditch away again? Did anyone go to the Jimmy Davies memorial cup game a few years ago? We had hundreds of fans there.
Title: Re: Pre-season friendlies Post by: stfc1975 on Saturday, May 16, 2015, 12:52:06 Aston Villa May yet be in the same league as them. Title: Re: Pre-season friendlies Post by: adje on Saturday, May 16, 2015, 13:08:59 dover
Title: Re: Pre-season friendlies Post by: suttonred on Saturday, May 16, 2015, 14:11:51 Bangkok United. Is that a football team or a gay protest group ? Title: Re: Pre-season friendlies Post by: Costanza on Saturday, May 16, 2015, 16:55:15 Something near Bristol like Yate Town last season and Weston-super-Mare in 2012 would be pleasant.
I'm also hoping for Chippenham Town. Title: Re: Pre-season friendlies Post by: Christy on Saturday, May 16, 2015, 19:03:36 I'm hoping / requesting we can get Sporting Lisbon away to avenge the drubbing we took a year or two back.
And maybe Porto or Benfica or something - all most preferably in the two weeks before the season starts. Many thanks. Title: Re: Pre-season friendlies Post by: Ells on Saturday, May 16, 2015, 19:14:15 Nobody for Banbury?
Title: Re: Pre-season friendlies Post by: herthab on Saturday, May 16, 2015, 19:32:08 Norwich is a possibility, depending on which league we're both in. Maybe Southampton?
Title: Re: Pre-season friendlies Post by: JayBox325 on Saturday, May 16, 2015, 19:52:33 I'm really hoping we get Bath City from a living-in-Bath-perspective.
It'll be the usual FGR, Supermarine, a premier league club, a championship club (or another premier league club) and a local non-league club to wherever we have our summer-camp. FGR, Supermarine, Aston Villa, Norwich (or Southampton) and the local club at the summer camp :) Title: Re: Pre-season friendlies Post by: Combe Down on Saturday, June 13, 2015, 09:55:37 Any further news than Aston Vilification & Fairford yet? The first friendly is usually only two or three weeks away. I'm kinda getting worried!

Title: Re: Pre-season friendlies Post by: JayBox325 on Monday, June 15, 2015, 15:18:32 I think tomorrow will be a day of announcements. Everyone should be back today catching up then announcing stuff tomorrow.
But that would be common sense. So no doubt things will be announced next Monday. Title: Re: Pre-season friendlies Post by: Combe Down on Thursday, July 2, 2015, 06:32:43 2nd July & still only 4 friendlies set up? That is not enough preparation for 8th August start. Therefore I reckon there will be a few unannounced, behind closed doors games. Anyone got any details?
Title: Re: Pre-season friendlies Post by: Batch on Thursday, July 2, 2015, 06:38:55 Surely there will be a few non-league club games along with the glamour friendlies
