Because it is a few doing it at times towards the back and out of sight,i repeat it is not a lot but i have heard it a few times......incredibly hard for a steward or policeman to remove a fan unless someone makes a complaint....even then i doubt it would ever happen as you cannot just kick fans out on the say so of other fans.
Unless fans are caught on camera shouting racist abuse they are here to stay i am afraid.
Fortunately that's not how it works. If anyone hears racist or homophobic abuse it should reported to a steward. If nothing happens, report it to the club afterwards. It's not up to you to think about what they may not have heard or seen, the fact is YOU did. We all know about http://www.kickitout.org/ that is directed to us as fans as well as players (who recently haven't shown a great example, one might argue).
