Surely if Gunning was going to get the job we’d know by now?

I would take a guess early next week after meeting with Clem over the week end.

With how slowly this club and the top brass thinks and works they probably think today was Gunnings first game

Best place to get anti Clem chants was from the Town End but they seemed more interested in joking around with Morecambe’s keeper. Fair play there was a couple of chants towards the end but it needed to be throughout. There’s so much anger online and it doesn’t manifest itself in person. I made my feelings clear in the DRS at the end of game but hardly anyone joined in and most clapped them. Bonkers. Don’t know where the club goes from here, drastic change needed.

I am not sure the fans would turn on him even if next season we are rooted in the bottom 2.

I was also staggered that some actually clapped them off- embarassing.

Unfortunately I really think the only thing that will get Clem gone is withholding your cash- as stumping up for season tickets will just prolong his tenure and we can all see the trajectory this is taking

I didn’t stay & applaud the players off, but with some of them (particularly Charlie) I can understand people wanting to give him a proper send off

It’s the same as the Lindsey appointment. Give the impression all options have been looked at abd cinsidered, then appoint the cheapo you were always going to appoint.

It is strange, though, that Clem has paid off Morris and Flynn - which couldn’t have been cheap.

If he doesnt get the job he’ll just be bumped off back to his previous role of Under 11’s loans manager

Genuine question: does he have the necessary qualifications yet?

I mean the ones that are required by the FA/EFL?

I'm wondering if he'll complete them soon, hence the delay.

Other options were Clem was selling up-but there is zero evidence there or he's not got it.

Given the shit show that is stfc I just assumed he'll get a 5 year deal

Edit: another option - they'll sign a couple of solid players, praise gunning for attracting them and a change of direction, maximise ST sales and appoint Gunning before reverting to type

I spoke with him at the Fans Forum and asked him if he had all the coaching qualifications now and he said he did. So watch this space I guess. Hopefully he doesn't get the gig, but it's the cheap/lazy/unambitious option, so of course he'll get it

Did anyone see who won the end of the season awards? I haven’t seen anything on social media.

Kemp won adver and I think SAS travel or the disabled supporters club. UGM won OSC. Not quite sure about the official ones, kept it very quiet for some reason...

Town end was full of "Morfuni get out of our club" at the end to be fair
I was sat only 40 rows from the Town End in the Arkells and did not hear a word of it, no way would Clem or even the players probably hear it.

PS nice to catch up again albeit briskly after the game mate.

I hear that he hopes to get Basic Literacy Level 1 by August.
