Going out tonight. Off to the cricklade club where they have Beavertown on draft.
Downside - I have to take the wife.
Used to be a decent CIU club. Shame it closed...

To be fair the ‘new’ place is good. Bit hipsterish but great beer and good food.

The good lady bogus has always expressed an interest in burlesque, so I got us tickets to see ministry of burlesque in bath for her Birthday
It was a little bit butlins cabaret, but was an entertaining way to spend a couple of hours. And saw 4 (four) boobs

I like burlesque, it's a way for the often the larger lady to fight back against the body fascism represented by the MSM. Empowering. However, some feminists would regard it as degrading.

I can't believe I am asking this with some level of seriousness, but if the world were flat, if you climbed to the top of Everest, should you not be able to see the edge of the world in all directions, given that nothing else int he world is taller, meaning you had line of site to either the edge, or what is after the edge?

Mind you, Erik the Viking tested the theory and fell off.

They will tell you that it's too far to see to the edge.
And then accuse you of being a NASA shill/Satan worshipper etc.

This. They're such a deluded bunch. RobT, I've brought up this theory before with them albeit slightly scaled down. I said; "If I climbed Ben Nevis on the clearest of clear days and looked due SE, I should (in FE theory) be able to view most of the East coast of the UK and see into all of the Netherlands. Unless of course some kind of curvature gets in the way..." The response was similar to FH. "The human eye can only see so far without..." Nutters!

Yeah, that moon must be only a few metres away then, maybe on a big pole that invisible to the naked eye?

Yep. Many will tell you that the moon, Sun etc are actually quite small and just a few miles away. According to many flerfers, even the stars are within the firmament. (A clear dome covering the Earth as mentioned in the bible)

Indeed! I did try to tell them once that the moon is a similar diameter to the USA and that there is nothing (or not very much) between Earth and our satellite, whereas we can't see the USA from the UK because "There. Is. A. Curve". I have had one say to me that the reason we can't is because "the waves get in the way"...which would be true if we were on the coast but I mentioned Mountain/Elevated theory, relative to their FE theory and it just became cyclic. Again.
