Ok, Iffy's first game in charge tonight, how do you think he'll play it?

My guess is we could be seeing something different....both personnel and formation wise....i think we'll start with a 4-4-2...

Gk Heaton
Rb Jenkins
Lb Nicholas
Cb O'Hanlon
Cb Ifil
Rm Shakes
Lm Nicolau
Cm Pook
Cm Heath
Fc Fallon
Fc Roberts

Subs: Bulman, Smith, Thorpe, Whalley, Cureton

My logic tells me that, as Iffy played as a striker, he'll want to be more attacking in his formations than King.

That's exactly how I would go, as I said in another thread Pook and McDermott should be able to do the donkey work to allow Shakes and Nicolau to get down the wings.

As long as the wingers play I'll be reasonably happy as long as the two CMs put themselves about.

Wasn't Kingy also an attack minded player?

Yes, but for some reason he totally forgot that somewhere along the way.

Kinky and Sonic that's a very very young midfield.  I think managers like to have someone in their with a bit of experience, even if it is Whalley!

I know, but both Pook and McDermott seem willing to get more stuck in than Whalley is, so on that basis I'd give them a go - basically Iffy has nothing to lose by trying something different.

Perhaps we might see Jack Smith move into midfield at some point, but as I say as long as both Ricky and Nicky play I'll be reasonably happy with whoever plays alongside them.

Oooh Ricky and Nicky playing in the same team, with Smith and Nicho supporting them, bloody hell that's almost attacking football. Steady on chaps!!

Would be nice though.

Take it you're not going tonight?  You're going to be seething that you've not made the trip - bright, energetic, flowing football - Pook and Fallon to score!

You going to MK?
