So what if its been in lots of other threads....Wokingham is right this season has been shite...he was being polite Tails.

it was probably raising the point that i don't think there's much more that can be said about it

Do you not think the fans having a negative attitude effects the players?

yes.

fans being negative effects the team
the team being shit effects the fans

chicken & egg

which comes first?

do we try and be positive and hope the players peform
or is up to the players to perform then we'll support them

in my experience a large proportion of our fans turn up just so they can moan

In my experience theres always a few moaners at every match DAVE...the vast majority back and support the team....but you cant expect the majority to stay that way when your watching rubbish match after match and in fact season after season.

you get both dont you.

you get fans that dont turn untill the performances are shit, you get fans that just moan from the off

you get players that dont hide untill the fans turn and you get players that always hide

Thing is for me DV against Brighton our fans were superb...although we were sat in freezing temps watching absolute shite they never got on the players backs...granted it was DW first game and we are all a little more optimistic but my point is if the fans have abit of hope to hang onto then they will respond...in the main our fans are top notch IMO considering what weve had served up for us.

I have the misfortune to sit by a right diamond geezer!!  Last match he started before he even sat down, stating that we had all arrived for another boring and poor match.  Before he arrived the people around me were quite happy, he certainly changes the mood as soon as he arrives - telling everybody within shouting distance just how poor each individual is as they touch the ball.  I really don't know why he bothers, but he has a very negative effect on a certain section of the DRS I can assure you.

when i sat in the drs.i was next to two old boys.one was talkative and alright.the other moaned like fuck, never smiled or made conversation other than to moan about anything.he never clapped, stood up when we scored,or praised anything ever in my few seasons in the same seat.just sat arms folded, week after week.after the brighton play off game at home he said "we'd only go down anyway" after they scored.the cunt still goes and sits there all miserable.
