I find it depressing we even have to enter this pointless waste of time.
When I were a lad! I'd never even heard of this competition let alone watched Swindon play in it!

DV...
Leeds United in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy....never thought I'd see that
Swindon Town in the JPT...that's much less of a surprise
I quite like it...probably just because we beat City in it with half our resevre team out though!!

why? so we can get beat again!? I just find the thought of playing Wycombe really exciting. Don't you? A trip to the White Horse never goes amiss, and we're not in the same league this season. Isn't the white horse the stipper club? I think it was featured on Britain's Roughest Pubs on Sky a while ago. A mate of mine was in a punk band that played there a lot a few years ago. Bloody good drummer, he is. Cheers and pogos Donkey

When I were a lad! I'd never even heard of this competition let alone watched Swindon play in it! Thats because it was called the Auto Windscreen Shield or something along those lines. I remember us losing to Hereford (I think) in it, and Steve White scored the only goal of the game!

I'm thinking that 95/96 would have been the only season we'd have played in the competition in most peoples on here's memories. Until 2000 anyway.
When it was the Auto Windscreen back in the day, didn't they have group stages at the start? Groups of 3 if I remember. I think that made it much more of reserve team jobby anyway.
