After Trust members voted overwhelmingly to drop the cost of annual membership to
£1, in a bid to boost membership, we will be starting a recruitment drive on the
back of this before the game on Saturday. We will also be handing out leaflets
explaining a little more about the Swindon Town Fans' Consortium - aims and
objectives, how fans can help etc. and collecting donations for the costs of the
campaign (which the Trust are bearing).

We need your help if we are to make a success of this - we need as many people as
possible to help sign new members up, hand out leaflets, explain what the
consortium is about, collect money etc.

I know we're always asking for help and it's a major pain in the whatnots before
a game when everyone would rather be having a relaxing pre-match pint but if we
are to make a success of the concept of a fans' consortium and build the Trust
into a voice that cannot be ignored we are going to need more than the usual
half-dozen numpties out there (with all due respect to the aforementioned
half-dozen numpties - I'm one of them, if that helps). Seriously we need as many
people as possible for this - if nothing else we have to show both the powers
that be and any potential future investors that we, the fans, are serious about
putting in the legwork to make our club a success. Loads of you have already
stepped up to the plate and offered help etc and major thanks are due to you all,
so please don't take this appeal the wrong way, but if you can spare the time
before the game it would be much appreciated.

Meet at the Trust office (next to away travel office, opposite CGH) at 1.30, and
if you can bring a bucket and a clipboard.

Ive got about 8 buckets (you know my work)  I will help out till about 2.15 as old dex is back for teh game so will sneak off for a pint with him.  I will be there just before 1.30.

That's a great idea jan. We should get an old VW camper van and paint it like the Scooby Doo Mystery Machine, then park it in the CG car park and get people to sign up there. I'll be Thelma and Yeovil can be Shaggy. Fred, I'm thinking, is a shoe-in Scooby.

I'm in comrades. Not sure about my bucket and clipboard skills though. Also I think there might be a thing about contact with bucket's and clipboards when I signed the sex offenders register. I don't want to go crazy and out of control again.

I could fill a bucket with redwine and see how quickly I could drink it all. Not sure how that would help  :?

Oh, and sorry to SiPie we didn't get to you in the Winners - we tried but weren't allowed anywhere on club property due to the incredibly dangerous leaflets. We've also been told we'll have to "seek authority" (which won't be granted, natch) for collections or raffles, for some reason. However, we have a cunning plan - watch out for the Trust Tombola! Ha! They never said anything about tombolas!

And if that doesn't work, we'll send in a crack undercover WI team to hold a bring and buy sale on the grass in front of the South Stand. Bwaaahahahahahahaha!

I signed up in the CGH, i couldnt be bothered to but my mate said he'd pay for my membership so i said "I'll pay the £1 if you fill the form in for me!" in the end i caved in and mustered up the energy to fill it in.

I got a paper cut from the leaflet so I'm sueing the trust....bloody dangerous things leaflets....

I paid £2, and for the type of investment I'll be expecting a place on the Board.

isn't the trust office on the county ground premises? how does that work if you're not allowed to give out leaflets, collect money, offer membership etc etc?
