I've heard that an approach has been made to Gary Speed, I know the person that told me is genuine, but it still doesn't make it fact, just another rumour..........

It seemed the candidates were all a lot better just prior to Malpas being sacked, but I hate them all now. I think I've been jaded by the rather circular discussion which has been going on.

We need someone with a track record to get us out of our current hole ... otherwise its League 2 again next season and then we WILL be REALLY struggling financially.
People laughed at my Nigel Clough appointment .. but look at the facts
Burton Albion have little or no cash --- under Clough's ten years (loyalty!) they have raised enough to build a new ground - Pirelli Stadium - with crowds of about 1500 average and assembled a gradually improving side - until last year they made the play offs and this year currently sit top!
I think Clough knows how to work in a tough budget and deserves a higher club to manage ...
For a real left field appointment ... how about Steve Fallon and John Beck of Histon .. they have done WONDERS for a part time village side with no money AT ALL ... trouble is we all might get neck ache watching it!
