"The board took the decision following the recent poor run that has seen the club slip to ninth in League One," read a statement on the club's website.

Ninth place.... shocking.

Yep, maybe they do have one of the better squads in the league but they are far, far too reliant upon Beckford.  Poor run of form for him and there's no one to get the goals and they start to look pretty average.

The amount of managers these guys have been through in the last few years is starting to put us to shame!

This is why I have reservations about appointing someone like Calderwood.  If we ever had to sack him, I'd be gutted.

Leeds should be pissing this league, them being 9th is about par with us being 20th, not suprised.

I'd have him here in a flash.

Really? I don't think he's that bad although i'll admit that i'd rather have Wilson.

Holloway, Ward, Cotterill, Wilson, Dowie, Money, Poyet, Speed.

I really don't care. Just put all the names in a hat and draw one out............

And they can all do the job here...if they are willing to come, just get it sorted.

I have to agree with the Fatbury there.  McCallister was a great player but he doesn’t appear to have that edge that makes a good manager and to be honest he reminds me a hell of a lot of Maurice Malpas.  Everything pointing to a great gaffer.  Brilliant career, vocal and committed on the pitch, captained his side but as a manager he just doesn’t have the edge required.

He had a mediocre stint at Coventry and given the squad he had at Leeds something really must be quite amiss to end up where they are at present.
