Title: Season ticket price cuts
Post by: Bob's Orange on Monday, March 2, 2009, 11:33:42
A few Premiership clubs have announced Season ticket price cuts. I like the look of Sunderland's 19 quid ticket for under 16's. However the cheapest ST at Fratton Park is 575 quid and their ground is worse than ours!!

I think you will see quite a few cuts. Clubs must realise that fans cannot afford to go to games as much now during the current climate. The sad thing however is ofcourse playing budgets will be reduced. Where as this is a good thing, clubs like Man Ure and Chelsea etc who have waiting lists for tickets will still have big transfer budgets and be able to charge tons for season tickets thus widening the gap. For real fans or clubs in the Football League though this will only be a good thing I think.
