Title: Re: Free sky sports Post by: Notts red on Friday, July 20, 2012, 15:03:59 Had a letter from Sky today to say As from the 1st September the Sky sports channels are going up another £1 at least per month and the family pack up another £2.50 pm . I've called them to cancel everything including our broadband and telephone along with the whole viewing package. Been paying around £112pm but now looking to go to Virgin or somebody else.

Title: Re: Free sky sports Post by: Notts red on Friday, July 20, 2012, 15:38:43 I had that letter aswell. Cunts That's just about finished it for me. Free this and half price that for new customers but seems like fuck all for the likes of me who have been with them for years. I'm waiting for them to call back but guess the only way I'll get a better deal is if I cancel then Ill be in a better position to haggle. Tossers >:(Title: Re: Free sky sports Post by: Arriba on Friday, July 20, 2012, 15:45:52 I called them and got money off. They are not so quick to agree nowadays though
Title: Re: Free sky sports Post by: Batch on Friday, July 20, 2012, 15:47:09 They were with me. 5 Minutes and I had 25% off for 6 months provided I signed up another year.
And I didn't even haggle, so maybe there was a bigger % there. Title: Re: Free sky sports Post by: Notts red on Friday, July 20, 2012, 15:49:05 I called them and got money off. They are not so quick to agree nowadays though Did you get right to the point of cancelling or just ask them outright for a better deal? Don't want all the hassle of changing to be honest but it pisses me off to be paying more than new comers. Title: Re: Free sky sports Post by: Arriba on Friday, July 20, 2012, 15:50:28 They were with me. 5 Minutes and I had 25% off for 6 months provided I signed up another year. same here but no contract renewal. Go to cancellations notts and say you can't afford it nut will consider staying if they can reduce your billAnd I didn't even haggle, so maybe there was a bigger % there. As can't go to the game this eveningWas trying to see if FGR v Swindon was on later but couldn't find a link >:( Title: Re: Free sky sports Post by: Bob's Orange on Tuesday, July 24, 2012, 16:17:55 I didn't realise that Sky were putting their prices up by a frankly astounding £1 a month.
As I quite enjoy their product and don't think that £1 a month is going to break the bank, I think I'll probably save the time and energy to moan about it and just carry on and take the financial hit. |
