i fuckin hope lewie plays. id rather have him than batty if giles isn't fit because batty's bowling is complete dog poo. he's not a bad batsman though.

looking forward to watch bell bat.

I also want to see Tresco do something!! even if he supports City

Big chance for Ian Bell this mini series.

He's got to do well to keep himself in the picture for the Ashes ahead of golden boy Pieterson.

Similarly, let's hope Freddie comes through some decent bowling unscathed- or we'll be really fucked when the real thing gets going.

i can't believe how quickly freddie's recovery has been. when he first had the op they said it would be mid-june before he even starts bowling for lancs

Assuming that we are not going to lose to Bangladesh, the most important thing in these 2 games is to get everybody in form and confident for the Ashes. Harmison seems to be bowling OK for Durham so hopefully he is getting back to his best at the right time, but Strauss, Vaughan and Trescothick need to get some big runs in these games otherwise I can see us being 25-3 after an hour of the first test against the Aussies and the whole summer being a disaster.

sorry, I think I've been reading to many of the doom and gloom posts in the STFC sections of the forum.

So did we drop loads of catches or something?  Should the Bangla boys have been skittled out for 50 runs?

What's going on then, the cricket centre thing seems to be playing up, it's telling me 42 for 0, but Rich has posted that it was 70 for 0 half an hour ago.

Fill me in, not in a lurrid way though.

Dragged on a bit at the end, should have got them out alot earlier. Harmison should have had a hattrick, Jones and Trescothick both had a good match, so there are several positives despite the poor standard of the opponent. Would have liked to see Batty bowl a few overs.
