....on Sky.
bet it'll be crap. Alan McDonald is doing punditry and Paul McAreavey is playing for Linfield.
The crowd are singing falling in love with you, to a tune played on a whistle by a fan.

Surely you've got something better to do Reg?I mean sandpapering your nipples would be more fun than watching such a pointless game

I like obscure football....Cliftonville have only recently been able to play Linfield at home, because of security issues....just wasn't safe for Linfield to play there. That's 27 years of playing the home fixture away.

A repeat of this fixture.... this time Jordan Stewart playing for Linfield. The crowd still singing "Can't help falling in love with you"
Linfield fans sing "Rule Britannia"

You do know Gordon Brown had just been made prime minister when that post you responded to was posted?

Excellent thread resurrection. I read the opening post not realising it was 12 years old...and being very impressed with the longevity of McAreavey's career.

Shouldn’t you have been more impressed that McDonald was doing punditry!?

Me too...have fond memories of Paul McAreavey...he pulled my lucky number out in the half time draw one night.
His deft touch paid for a hefty set of shelves which themselves have only recently retired from the game.

Little less easy to make a light-hearted comment about that. 😥

He scored a cracking goal v Oldham on a foul mid week night..... There's something very satisfying about a set of shelves that you put up yourself and they don't fall down. Steve Lomas was doing the punditry, and he's an honorary TEF, STFC manager.
