To be fair there isn't much hope for the planet with the human population explosion. 4 billion to nearly 8 billion in less than 50 years.
You could just as well have said that in 1960, when the population exploded by 50% in just over 30 years (1927 2bn, 1960 3bn). Or 1974, when it exploded to increase by 1/3 in just over a decade. Or 1999 when it again exploded to increase by 1/3 since 1974. Or come to that in 1804 when it first reached 1bn. Must have seemed unimaginable at the time. To coin the old saying "there's enough for everyone's need, but not for everyone's greed"

The population increase isn't helping, but that doesn't mean we can't do something about it.
But we're not.

The new "anti-Greta" is a member of the AFD, the German anti-immigrant far-right nationalist party. She was initially championed by Martin Sellner, the leader of the white supremacist "Identitarian" movement in Austria who is still under investigation for his links with encouraging and inspiring the terrorist who killed 50 in the NZ Christchurch mosque shootings. She has come to wider prominence with a US visit in which she is sponsored by an American lobbying organisation which specialises in climate change denial and is backed by right wing billionaires who coincidentally all have interests in making money from fossil fuels. Astro-turfing at its finest.

FIFY. If we did go to the extremities of Greta's suggestions we might. But there isn't the will. Therefore what she proposes isn't an actual solution.

Been living in a beautiful village in the mountains near Malaga for 18 months. In my local with my 73 year old father and for the first time since leaving England someone tries to start on me.
Guess what. He was fucking English on holiday. Prick. Made me laugh when he realised that the entire bar -all spanish- knew new and he shat it.

Disappointed there is no sign of any post re. Beckham’s Miami franchise - I was expecting at least one TEF’r to question why he hasn’t thrown his money in to Bury instead

Why did he start on you Mex? Some English people just can't behave when on holiday. its almost like they think they own the place. Like when England play football abroad rather than attempting to mix with locals they have a tendancy to 'annex' the place.

Umbrellas. Why can't people seem to have any awareness when these bloody things are in play? Especially the wankers in the tassled shoes that use golf umbrellas the size of Cirencester.
What winds me up further is people with hoods up also use umbrellas, surely the hood does the same job as the umbrella?

Are they on their phones too Bobster? Some tend to be 4D. I think to win Bob bingo you have to be wearing or doing the below. 1. wearing loafers with tassles 2. wearing trousers that are too short and expose the ankles 3. wearing no socks 4. Wearing a combination of jacket with hood over the head and a massive golf style umbrella 5. fucking about on your phone 6. Standing in the middle of the pavement waiting for a bus getting in the way of people wanting to use the pavement as its been intented Those combinations would probably make me explode with rage!!

People stood chatting in shop doorways annoys me immensely. Idiots. I've never understood the loafer tassel shoe with half mast trousers and no socks look. It's awful. Especially worn by a bearded 18 stone fella It's like the modern day equivalent of someone wearing sock braces.

When I was at school, anyone who had trousers that were too small for them would be lambasted (especially if they wore white socks). This appears to be very much the 'fashion' these days. I'm pretty boring when it comes to clothes, very conservative, boot cut jeans, t shirt, jumper type of guy. My 'style' has never really changed.
