Took dog out for a leisurely stroll earlier, bit of lunch, now sat enjoying the sun in the garden with the missus, trying to put off cleaning the windows

Reading a belting book about the New York music scene, 1973-77. Love Goes to Buildings on Fire.   Should be listening to the New York Dolls to accompany it, but it's the Drive-by Truckers instead.

Stay safe all.

Just prepared a marinade and slathered it all over a leg of lamb ready for tomorrow’s meal of Kleftiko.

Listening to TMS replaying the Headingley test last year. Better times will come again, but replays of the old ones are pretty good in the circumstances.

Walked around Coate water earlier. Water was very clear which I've not seen before. Some huge carp were basking in the sun. Dropped my phone yesterday and cracked the screen (a first for me)  so looking for a replacement handset and listening to old skool rave tunes.

My home poker group had our first online private party session.  Added Zoom as the chatroom.

Slightly surreal.  Only one of of us had ever played online before.

Normally we major on sport and personal abuse, but no sport now.

3rd BBQ of the year this pm, and we've been sat round the chiminea all evening.  I can't remember another April like it.  Summer has come early this year.

We had our second barbeque this evening. Weber barbeques are great bits of kit.  Cooking a turkey on it tomorrow.
