Title: Anti-Virus/Anti-Spam
Post by: ronnie21 on Saturday, May 5, 2012, 10:30:45
My anti-virus runs out shortly and Groupon have a special offer on Panda anti-virus, dead cheap and that is what is worrying me.  Anybody got any experience of Panda?  Your help would be appreciated.

Another vote for Security Essentials here.  I use that along with Malwarebytes which is also free.

I'd never touch AVG again personally.

Panda is fine...had it two years with no probs...my advice go to Petes Computers in Gorse Hill(if you live in Swindon) and he will install it for a year for £18............anyone trying to install free anti virus programs themselfs will eventually get problems....unless you are a whizz on the lappy/comp then of course you may well be ok.

You don't need to be a whizz at all. It's dead easy.

Another vote for Microsoft Security Essentials. Had numerous problems with AVG not picking up common viruses but no problems at all with MSE. Really don't see the point in paying for anything when MSE is so good and free.
