Astonishing.
Would never have contemplated 6 points this week after getting humped 5-1 last weekend.

And this win has cancelled out that thrashing from last week on the goal difference...

So that's 3 league wins in 4 for Ling. Handy.
And I thought we were gone 7 days ago.

Fair play to the team and management. Sounds like the early goal bred confidence and perhaps not having Kasim in the side and change of formation made all the difference. Ajose and Obika proving a good partnership now.

He was pretty clear when he was appointed he wanted passing with a purpose and play with 2 up front. It seems to be working so far, Ling may it continue! (Sorry )

Been totally ignoring away games for weeks, thought my mate was pulling my leg when he text me 4 - 0 up. What a result and a brilliant start for Ling.

What a fantastic shock.
Maybe our shit luck has turned at last.
Back to back...unreal after last week.
The Fish delivers 3 L wins in 4...
Text to say Rodgers had started had me depressed.. (Sounded like he had a good game first half).
Turned the radio on at 20 minutes and we were holding on.
Decided not to tempt fate and left the BBC website updating.
Cmon Town...the only was is up!

So having not seen us play for ages, have we changed the style of play? Are we trying to get the ball wide, balls into the box etc? What has Ling changed?

Ling: -Most happy with clean sheet -Started bright -Defend as 11 attack as 11 -Front two worked tirelessly and our first main port of defense -Diamond formation worked 'wonderful' -Anton Rodgers outstanding at back end of diamond -Chesterfield never got out of stranglehold we put them in -Obika was best player today, in work rate, application and keeping the ball -Two up top retains the ball -Fourth goal was super ball -Had good passages of play -Confidence that win gives you helps with pushing forward -Deemed to be smooth passing team, but have pride in defense and clean sheet and stopping other teams scoring -El Abd lead team superbly -Louis Thompson massively important -Thomas has missed out, have same problem in two weeks time with loan players, but hasn't got to worry about it for two weeks -Pity we have the 2 week break, wants to play tomorrow -Use the two weeks off wisely on the training ground -Gladwin loan finishes on 3rd of December, period to see what happens, dependant on QPR manager, but would love to have him longer -Jamie Calvin - doesn't know a lot about him, has been training since Ling got here, no where near first time ready, work in progress and needs to improve on parts of game -Jordan Stewart - looked sharp in training, important that he had time to settle, good to have back in 18, being on bench will help his confidence, learning what we are about, won't rush him -Jordan Williams - had a reaction to injury, going to be longer, doesn't see him coming back in near future, with loan situation with 7 won't be best thing having another person to leave out
