Anyone remember doing a sticker album by the Sun 'newspaper'? Twas a footy one from about 88 or so. I never completed it though. I did however complete the sticker book of the Gulf war. Looking back i see the error of my ways. :?

Yeah its true, it had all troops, planes and tanks from every country involved! My favourite sticker was of some Israeli Commandos climbing up ropes, I couldn't help but think; 'Is there going to be much call for that in the desert?'

Especially with those specially made defensive Iraqi ropes, that are invisible, and impossible to climb.

we used to get the panini ones, why was it that when you bought a pack of stickers you always got mostly the scottish players and only one english player?

Did anyone collect Pro set football cards?

I had a few from 94-97 or so, when I was still a little un at primary school. It was great, going down the paper shop on a Sunday morning with my Dad and spending all of my £2 pocket money on stickers.

The best thing about them were the stickers in the middle pages, where on the back bit of the sticker that you peel off, you would get either a free fries or coke from McDonalds Cool Do they still do that?

I remember 1990, someone started a rumour that there were only 200 Gazza stickers leading to lots of playground talk about people who had a Gazza, or had seen one Cool

I remember some lad in my year (This was probably about 97) nicked £50 from his mums bag and spent it all on footie stickers. I think he was grounded for about a year after she found out, although he did complete his sticker album about 3 times over
