I'm off to Ipswich next weekend for a christening (lucky me)... As a London dweller, I'm trying to persuade the memsahib that it would be terribly rude not to stop off in Colchester on the way there for a few jars, and a bit of shouting. However, she does not seem convinced...
Anyone been there before? Is it a trip worth making? What is the ticket situation likely to be? Is there pay on the day, or does one have to be organised?
Too many questions for a Monday morning... Sorry about that.

http://dspace.dial.pipex.com/town/park/yfh45/colchest.htmits a fairly basic ground, only holds 6000 odd. never been before but will probably make the trip. according to that site we'll get an allocation of around 700-800. based on last 2 away trips thats less than we took however yeovil is close and forest is always a crowd puller. can't see us taking many more than the usual 400ish however as its coming to the end of season push you might see a few more.

I think it was last season (when we won 1-0 with Migs on the left and Parkin scoring the winner) I went and had a decent day. The ground is a bitch to find, but it's a fairly decent atmosphere and there was a good bit of banter. I'll go if I can afford the tickets.

Too many questions for a Monday morning... Sorry about that. Old school ground, but not particularly special.....away end terracing about 5 deep....decent pub fro away fans nearby, but lacks a convenient chip shop. I'm being pestered to go....but as part of the Quiet and Ashamed campaign will probably give it a miss and opt for Scunthorpe.
