According to the adver he's struggling a bit with a knee problem which is a tad concerning after his injury troubles last season.

How long will he last next season??

I don't think he'll be an automatic first choice to be honest.  Cureton's already come out and said he wants to play with a taller striking partner - not really describing Thorpe.  Maybe he'll be a supersub.

I get the feeling he'll be on the bench more often than not too.

I think its just because due to last seasons injuries Thorpe is pushing himself harder.

Drove past the players out running the other day and Thorpe was at the front shouting at everyone to go faster and keep up

According to pretty much every QPR fan Thorpe is the better player though... (than Cureton)

I don't think thorpe will be on the bench most of the time. If fit he's arguably our best striker.

there all class strikers at the end of the day it will come down to who plays the best and scores the most goals.

And maybe this season players that come in will play well because we have competition for striking places which we didnt have last season

agreed, it's probably just a reaction to his past injuries.

Not concerned, King has stated that Fallon, and Roberts, aren't going anywhere.  I think this will be Fallon's year, once he is available.  Fallon, and Cureton, seem like the ideal striking partnership.  Reminds me of Rowland and Mayes.  Rowland would hold the ball up and Mayes would feed off him.  Mayes had terrific skills on the deck, while Rowland would win the aerial battles.  Rowland also layed off the ball very well with back to goal.

Roberts strikes me as being more useful in a 4:4:2 set up playing wide.  Thorpe, apparently, started his professional career playing in midfield.  With all the "steel" Andy King is looking at for midfield, maybe Fallon will be the battering ram with Cureton and Thorpe playing behind him.  King seems to like old fashioned centre forwards, and Fallon fits that bill.   I am not sure where Roberts fits in.  One of the four will be out injured at any one time, so King has probably got it right, especially with the new loan situation.
