The writers/voice overs for Spitting Image were part of the team that created 2DTV. The politically charged, satirical animated series. In current terms it poked most of it's fun at George W Bush Jnr. Voices came from Jon Culshaw and suchlike. I don't know how old you are but feel we're a similar age, except I seem to remember watching a lot of Spitting Image "More peas Norma", as well as Hale & Pace and Bottom (amongst others). Maybe my parents were a bit more lax on how much comedy I saw?

I was watching it from the eyes of a c10 yr old. It was hilarious. In more current times, I think Bo' Selecta by Leigh Francis picked up the baton that Spitting Image left. Except that was more "celebrity based" than it was political.

Finished "Top boy" yesterday. Dunno why some wanted to pick holes in it? I thought it was ace and look forward to the next series.

Maybe I could point you in the direction of Mark Kermode, responding to criticism that his review of Joker for the Observer was vastly different to the review in the Guardian?

I know how it goes. I just made my own view on it. People can conclude what they like, I just don't agree in this instance with he negative. Like on every subject, people have differing opinions. A good thing..... Did you watch Top Boy: Summerhouse first?
I did, years ago but to be honest pretty much forgot the plot etc. Why ask?

No reason really, just some people think this is a brand new series and there are a few things that cross over from one to the other.

Fair enough, mate. I misread the tone of your message then I'd still give it a solid 7.

No worries. 7 is a good score. I'd rate it much the same to be honest.

Still powering through It's Always Funny, on season 10 now. Fantastic show but my work Danny DeVito irritates the shit out of me.

You What? Danny DeVito is fucking amazing in it and the show improves a lot when he joins!
