Title: Port Vile
Post by: Outletred on Friday, June 3, 2022, 18:24:52
Any reason why by the police have done absolute Jack shit about their fans attacking our players.

It was all over the news so the fans guilty are on camera- why no arrests?

Limited resources and can't be arsed, let it drop quietly?

Doesn’t matter now, they are up. We will hopefully bypass them at the end of the coming season. Nothing can change what happened and I hope that those who committed severe offences are held accountable but we should focus more of our energy on the upcoming season rather than worrying about what could have been!

They need all the fans they can get.

Never had enough faith in the police to follow it up with more than a social media post.

I'm waiting for the FA to charge both clubs, give PV a suspended points deduction while actually applying ours after someone said something racist at the Man City game.

It was bad enough what they threw at our fans in the form of lighters, bottles (often full of water) and coins- but attacking our players is on another level. Especially as it was caught on camera and was all over the local news. I really don't see how the police and EFL/FA can let that go- you cannot ignore it- the fan who attacked Billy Sharp and the Villa keeper was quickly identified and charged- why not those Port Vile fans who would also have been on CCTV? Sooner or later someone is going to get seriously hurt.

The Staffordshire police are worse than useless though, for years they have buried issues with their fans under the carpet. On the night they were more interested in filming our fans being hit by missiles than actually locating the fans on the pitch throwing them.

Let's hope they get relegated along with Bristol Rovers and Oxford

That was Swindon police. God knows what Staffordshire police were doing.

I didn't even see a copper until I got to the ground. At which point their twattish fan base decide to 'have a go' from behind police and stewards, like Swindon fans hadn't just walked 15 minutes unescorted from a pub and  through a park.

Real 'hold me back' energy.

Why were there Swindon police there were they anticipating trouble!

Easy way to watch football on the cheap.

Especially when you don't have to actually do anything when the shit hits the fan and can just stand there with no accountability.

Cushty job.

Notice the police have finally arrested three pork vile fans in connection with the troubles after the second leg play off game.
Further arrests are expected.    Bloody hell, took long enough.  Just hope the wankers have already bought season tickets.

Doubt it,  probably would have been a different story had it been us.

Looks like they'll be swapping the home end for the away end next season.  Bit pointless considering attendances.
