Henry signs a new deal
Hopefully he gets a chance to stake a claim as number one at the start of the season.... bench sitting no good at his age, LMc is more suited to that role.

Think that was fake, as the post on FB has now been deleted and there's nothing on the official site or their Twitter page.

That's a relief. Two players I would like to have on board next season. Especially Knoyle.

Think I’m in the minority in that I wouldn’t be too upset if conroy left - he’s eminently replaceable at this level, being a center back who can’t really defend (long raking passes aside, my only other abiding memory of him is being constantly out of position)
Knoyle would be a shame to lose

My gut feeling is that Knoyle will stay and Conroy will leave.

According to Wellens, he’s taken Knoyle’s offer off the table and replaced with a reduced one cos he let the deadline pass. Still fairly confident he’ll stay.
Reckons he’s been unable to contact Conroy who’s on holiday - that sounds like adios

Would that reduction likely be a token offer at his current wage to ensure we at least get a fee if he signs elsewhere, with a clear subtext that he’s not wanted?

I'd hope so, should be worth a nominal fee and sell on clause. Sent from my Mi A1

Don’t think so. He said it was just in the hundreds and was making a point. Probably around bonuses rather than salary, I reckon.

Nothing makes a player want to stay more than a reduced contract offer Suspect its as Dave says, or a simple hurry up and he'll sign on the original offer if he indicates he wants to stay.

I'm sure if Knoyle now said fine, I'll sign the first deal we'd go for that and everyone's happy.

Knoyle would be the bigger loss of the two.
