Saw that yesterday, brilliantly done. Up there with Thomas the Dank Engine. For those who haven't seen...

That's unbelievably good. The original one(I think) was with 50 Cent, but that's much better. It's also reminded me of this DJ Yoda 1994 mix that was on 6 music last weekend. It made me smile and feel good. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p04vh0n3

Ha, his post this morning (which he has since deleted) was amazing. Basically slating everyone on the page for not buying his book, thus he's had to move back to Spain and will be unable to continue with the page.

Was veggie for around 7 years. The worst 7 years of my life convincing myself that "meat substitutes" even remotely resembled the look and taste of meat.

If the worst thing that's ever happened to you is Linda McCartney "sausages", you've led a charmed existence

I think the Linda Mac sausages are alright really, in casserole and what not. Not on their own so much.
Much better than quorn 'bacon', which is even shitter than the bacon I got subtitled for.
I give up meat for lent most years and the main thing I've learnt is that learning to cook chickpeas or other actual non-meat food properly is much better than attempting to live with meat substitutes.

Cauldron Sausages are better. Decent. I was in Hackney the other day and went to the hipsters choice the temple of seitan http://www.facebook.com/templeofseitan/Its a vegan fried chicken joint. Obviously its not chicken. Its stuff called seitan, formed in to chicken shapes and then fried in southern fried chicken herbs and spices. Its all right. Im not a massive fan of things masquerading as meat. I stopped eating meat a few years ago and don't really see the point in eating stuff thats pretending. This stuff tasted like chicken but was a bit more rubbery and a bit more herby. Im not rushing back there. I expect loads more 'Seitan' places to pop up in the next few years.
