well, currently 119-2. not a bad start by england.

england chose to bowl first on a good bowling surface but anderson early on was poor with his bowling. Plunkett came in and got both wickets, all be it quite lucky ones, but who cares about that!

blackwell has just come on to bowl, he deserves a wicket from his bowling in these one dayers so far. come on blackers!  Beers and england of course!

I missed both the wickets fall Sad  :x ,the lure of VH1 Christmas songs, especially  Wham's Last Christmas was too much Smiley

Looks like another good batting track, the way they are going at the moment it seems that 300 plus could be likely.

Only 5 overs for Blackwell (most economic bowler of the series)?

Bat second?

Plunkett going at 10 an over and kept on?

Hmmm

I'd be impressed if we get within 100.

Well done England for winning the toss and deciding that there's something in the pitch for the bowlers!

Losing is never nice but its made worse when your team are completely stuffed as we were today Sad .I'm just glad i didn't watch it.
The problem is going to come next year when we play India,Sri lanka,Pakistan, Australia and also have to qualify for the ICC Champions Trophy because we are going to finish 7th in the ODI rankings and not sixth like we have to.The players are going to burn out.
Also just having looked at the rankings the only countries that have played less odis than us are below us,no coincidence i'm sure.

We'll move to play more ODIs I'm sure, our domestic cricket seems to include lots of them, and especially in light of the SKY TV deal and the good box office that they bring I'm sure the crash bang wallop of the ODI will be more frequent.

I think in England we don't  consider ODIs to be as important as tests, which of course is  right Wink
I just worry about the players, there is so much cricket coming up and the last thing we want to have to do is qualify for this Trophy and play more games but its looking like that is going to happen.

I watched the first 36 overs of the Pakistan innings and it was painful, i knew we were going to get thumped.

Yes,sadly the writing was on the wall very early on Sad
The convicts V S.Africa starts early tomorrow morning,i might give that a little watch at some point i think.I don't rate the Africans chances though.Little hint for  Graham Smith,if you win the toss BAT.
