Wilson didn't have anywhere near the freedom Di canio has had. He had a wannabe director of football who was clueless interfering constantly.

I guess the flip side of that is that Wilson took the shit, Di Canio doesn't and won't.

I have absolutely no idea how much meddling Fitton did but if it was as bad as all that i would have thought Wilson would have just walked.

See Wilson is working his 2nd season magic at Bramall Lane - dropping like a concrete turd

I quite liked Wilson, no idea how he handled the players, or whether he was party to all transfers, but he put together a squad that so nearly got promoted to the Championship.

People do seen to have selective memory with regard to him.

Ignoring the 1st season he saved us from relegation, ignoring the 2nd season we were a game from the Championship. Only remember the car crash 3rd season.

People remember that for whatever reason he allowed the dressing room to split into factions and wouldn't or couldn't get them to give a shit.

The total lack of effort and pride is shown up after performances like last night.

PDC would not stand for it and neither should he have!

I try to remember the good times under Wilson. As shit as it was under him starting from the kick off of the game at Wembley, there were some good times before that which you can't simply forget.

I've got no problem with Wilson and won't ever forget the PO season and that brilliant night at Charlton. I guess his rather wooden personality counts against him, plus I don't ever remember him praising the fans or 'giving us a wave' that often. What a cunt  Cheesy

Ignoring the first two seasons, Wilson lead us through one of the worst seasons in our 125+ year history. It takes something pretty special to be that shit.

He ran his course here for sure, but think it may have been better had others not have meddled. We had more than enough to stay up but lost some key players too. Add the dressing room division and that was a disaster.

the season was a disaster before the kick-off at Wembley.
