Frustrated not to be ahead but we're the better team here by miles and can't see us not scoring in the second half. Colchester are abject, nothing wrong with being a long ball side but they have absolutely no plan apart from badly hit through balls to Sears, who is chasing them manfully. They seem to have no interest in putting any pressure on us in possession in stark contrast to Stevenage last week - until corners anyway when they become quite keen to hold and pull.

Can't help but feel that as a team we would really benefit from a target man, we get so many crosses in but only really look like we have a chance at getting the header when FBT is forward for corners. Maybe DV's FBT van der Linden shout isn't totally rogue...

Lacking the quality in the final third, familiar story. I'd take Darcy off for Reed or Iandolo and go 4-4-2 with Williams as the 10.

Don’t think it would hurt to get Jephcott off/out wide and get Wakeling back on the middle.
Despite many comparisons to McKirdy and to Yates. I still think he’s more of a SSP. Despite maybe having more of the Yates/McKirdy physical attributes if that makes sense.
Not a coincidence he’s stopped scoring since Jephcott came in.

An AVDLFBT & Wakeling front two could work…

75% possession with one shot on target is not good enough.

Hutton cross and Jephcott looked pulled back by the defender.

I'd bring on Aguiar for Khan. We don't need a defensive midfielder in this game, they have no interest in attacking though the midfield whatsoever.

Jephcott absolutely left an elbow in on the keeper there, silly.

Nothing like stopping play to not book someone for timewasting...
