TBF, I did have a model Alfa, which Juan-Manuel Fangio used to drive... However, more of a Stirling Moss Vanwall man

Driving back home one night over weekend, thought I'd txt the lad to tell him to start getting ready for bed, rather than wait till I get in and start the whole farrago then. Being conscientious about the whole using a mobile while driving thing, I use the voice recognition. Which went like this: ME: Send a message to Tom PHONE: OK what would you like to send? ME: Bed in 5 Phone: OK, Message reads "Dead inside", would you like to send or change? ME: Change. (louder and slower like I'm on holiday talking to a foreign waiter) Bed .... in .... five Phone: OK, Message reads "Dead inside", would you like to send or change?
So at this point I think it's probably not great to send the kid a message that suggests his Dad's finally hit the existential mid-life crisis that has been threatening for some years now and decide to change tack.
ME: Change. Bed in 5 minutes Phone: OK, Message reads "Dead in five minutes", would you like to send or change?
So now we've gone from the slightly worrying "Blimey, Dad's having a nervous breakdown" to the deeply alarming - either a suicide note or a death threat, depending on how he read it. Neither of which would be conducive to a peaceful night's sleep for the little lamb. At this point I decided it was probably easier just to use the tried and trusted method of waiting till I got home and just bellowing up the stairs.

Talking to my Norwegian mate earlier about the fact his country has been ruled the happiest place to live in the world
That's nothing though because the adver's decided "Swindon is pervert capital of the U.K."
