Are the rumours accurate that he hasn't endeared himself to his new teammates?

I work with a Burnley season ticket holder.  Of the small glimpses he's seen, his assessment was:

"Too slow, too lazy and far too shite".  Seems harsh.

I watched him on his debut vs Norwich which was his only start I think. He struggled with pace and missed a chance he would usually score, but come on he only played 60 mins and it's only 1 game!

But yeah anyway Burnley fans were slagging him off to me on the train and I was havin a go, bunch of unworthy cunts.

I heard some rumours about his time down here (nothing that hasn't been said before). It was volunteered by someone who claimed to be Charlie's other half's friend. Don't want to give their identity away, but it was most bizarre and came about as I was in the queue to purchase something with my son. He had his old Austin shirt on.

With friends like that, its no wonder rumours get around!  Didn't they know. Loose lips sink ships.

In a funny sort of way I think the worst thing that could happen for him is for them to get promoted this year. Next season if they are in the premiership and he hasnt played games for them he is straight out on loan.

Although to be honest I am not that bothered....

As for lasses from Burnley - I fear for him.

Yet to register for his new club, Austin will be telling Helen and Max how he is finding life in the Championship and the possibility of promotion.

You can guarantee that the Pox fan will get some well rehearsed pops in about how crap we are and how they're going to stuff us next season.  He'll then congratulate Austin for leaving us, saying he used to hate him but he's alright now he's playing for Burnley.  Austin will shrug and not give a shit about any of it.

All in all, a good reason to miss the programme.
