I am sure Danny Wilson is a dab hand at the Football Manager interview process by now.
He would talk up his achievements at STFC by saving from relegation, nearly getting promoted in a League 1 containing Leeds, Norwich, Charlton, Southampton and a tough Millwall team.
He could blame the second season on losing his Captain and top scorer in that summer, signings imposed by the chairman and selling Charlie Austin at a vital stage of the season without an adequate replacement.
Others might say he is a nearly man who doesn't get sides over the line to promotion I.e City, us and Sheffield United and suffers Second Season syndrome. When it went wrong at STFC the side was unmotivated, unfit and players played out of position who fell out with each other.
He is one of the football management survivors and there must be something about him that makes him a low risk appointment.

Rafa Benitez, has got the boot from Madrid after losing 3 games all season.
Said at the time he wouldn't last the season.

I see Guardiola is coming to the premier league then. I think Wenger is going to step down at the end of the season and he'll go to Arsenal.

Would like to think that, but with all the ex-Barca execs at Man City and a basically limitless chequebook, I can't help thinking he'll be City's Mourinho

Cooper didnt get the Notts County job then. They have given it to Forest coach Jamie Fullerton and their fans are not happy!

Like most of us it would appear not many teams seem convinced last season had much to do with the management of Cooper...

My friend who's a life long loyal Exeter fan said after their latest home defeat there were lots of rumours about Tisdale walking, and several fans wanted Cooper in as a replacement. The man's got the safest job in football though.

Funny one that - it can't keep being the manager's fault. Dunn's only been there 6 months, first gig in management and he gets bombed out because they're shit. But they're shit not because of him, but because they're just shit and have been shit for ages, and are long-overdue a relegation.

Usually beat us though. I've got a few mates who are Oldham fans, they've been in this division for something like 15 or 20 seasons now, they reckon if they go down they won't be back. Dunn isn't the problem although he isn't a football manager, they do have completely inept owners and are a tough sell when they're just down the road from City and United not to mention all the other small clubs in the area.
