This new FL's "respect" campaign, where the players have to come out of the tunnel and line up and then shake hands with the opponent and officals...is this really going to stop them squaring up to each other in the event of a bad tackle ?, or stop them trying to get their opponent booked ?

I see the point of it but surely it should be directed to the likes of Man U, Liverpool etc who you see their players every few weeks surrounding the ref when something goes against them, once they stop doing it then perhaps the culture will not filter donw to the lower leagues, surely if they see it done in the prem then lower league players will think it is fine.

Perhaps there should be an automatic booking for any player that is seen to be trying to influence a ref's decision ?
