Muff have scored - condenses the top a bit more.
Probably the favourites for the league now to a neutral I’d imagine.

Plymouth 2-2 Crawley. Sendles-White with the assist.

Not defending set pieces, sure but also giving away too many free kicks in dangerous positions. Nouble and Norris joining Robinson just overpowered us on a pudding of a pitch. Wellens missing the chance to bring on Broadbent and perhaps Rose to shore up midfield in place of Woolery (who had worked hard in the first half but flagged and turned to shit)
All credit to Colchester with their bold substitutions at a time the match threatened to slip away from them. They've destroyed us twice late on at their's now and had a clinical win at ours to make a hattrick of 3s. Fair play.

Traffic. Delayed 30 mins. Danny Mayor has been left out of their squad amongst speculation he could be sold as well. Not all cosy their either by the looks. We're in the driving seat here. Let's get out of this league.

Bollocks.
Onwards. Win on Saturday and it's still been a good few weeks.
Very confident we will get an auto place if we get one of Yates or Doyle (or equivalent).

Don’t really know Wellens doesn’t like making substitutions in these circumstances but guess he knows best.

That Crawley equaliser was probably the best thing that's happened this evening. Could be huge.

Colchester & Newport remind me of Millwall & Preston in the Play Off season, in terms of how we match-up against them. Millwall & Preston both just looked to have our number that season. Once they got one tonight, and we hadn't stretched the lead, the writing was on the wall. Those are the only two teams I've seen this season who I get that feeling with. Lincoln were the previous owners of said title in the past couple of seasons.

Just felt the game drifted away from us after we failed to settle it with a 2-0 lead and they brought on their subs who really energised them. It wasn't just about power or height but, imo, energy - a sapping pitch and a Saturday game left some hard working Town players just off the pace in the closing 1/4. We needed to match the Us (but of course Wellens is both far better informed and a far better judge, Theakston)

How many teams top after 30 games don;t go up Reg?
If you look at the 2 seasons we've been in Div 4, Luton were way out after 30 but stumbled and Accy took the title, but they still went up. Last season Lincoln were top and stayed top by being a grinding sort of team. Mansfield second on 58 fell away and failed in the PO's. Things will revolve around the next few days for us and others around, there may be ouitfits who've struggled first part of the season who will pick up, and probably a few who will fall away. A concern is that we've lost 3 of 4 away games against basic Div 4 football, and trips to Carlisle and Cobblers to come. Carlisle have picked up won last 2 and Cobbs are just the sort of long ball outfit we struggle with. So although we're top it isn't by a lot.... so wriggle room is shrinking.
