Title: Amankwaah
Post by: Tails on Monday, September 29, 2008, 11:33:18
Was just interested, what's everyone's opinions on him so far? He was getting slated up by me yesterday but I actually thought he played quite well.

He sounded one of our players on the wireless.

I must admit to having a chuckle to myself when JP was getting involved with a section of the DRS that Imawanker just stood there watching with a kind of bemused look on his face.

I'm easily entertained me.

I think he looks quite good going forward but needs some discipline with his defending. Having said that, a natural leader within the heart of the defence would work wonders on that score.

Oh how I miss Vincent

Here here. I never thought I'd view Jamie Vincent as the answer to our problems!

Always proved solid in the centre and a good talker and organiser

(please dont quote me on that as I was wankered for most of the games last season, and the season before come to mention it !)

I thought he done ok,He did start to tackle more in the second half, that tackle he done in our pen area in the second half was timed to perfection, had it not it would have been a def pen.

Im still not sure he is good enough on the whole tho, only time will tell,im glad he's getting a run out tho.

my boyfriend was telling me about that when he got in - its the guys that sit in front of us
he said JP shouldnt have reacted but he made it 10 x worse by doing so

I dont really think personally abusing players helps anything, but I can see why JP attacts most of it.

He's just Roberts minus the pace and skill. in fact he probally has less good games than roberts has, and even when he is good I'd still have had a good Roberts over him.

lots of use of the word good there. and a pointless comparrison with a now retired player.  but JP is shit though. thats the real point here. good.

I'd like to see Amankwaah played right wing with Jack Smith behind him as full back.

He's done alright so far for someone described by Swansea fans as the worst professional footballer they have ever seen...

Aljorfree was one of 10 who had a poor game.

I don't question he had a poor game, but was he worse than the rest of them?

It's not individual errors anymore, it's the whole team.........

Title: Re: Amankwaah
Post by: Don Rogers Shop on Monday, September 29, 2008, 13:29:19
Ah no not his fault we lost but he was the weakest in defence yesterday.couple of examples as i had the pleasure of sitting pitchside level with the 18 yard line and could hear a bit of what was being said.

1) First goal aljofree told smith to push up to the left back as macca had drifted inside when he pushed up aljofree should of came out to cover smith.

2) as he did not cover he went into the box and did fuckall.

3) heard him shout what the fuck are you doing twice at morrison

The funniest was when he sliced a throw in out of play and shouted at the linesman that it was offside. A throw in ffs

Title: Re: Amankwaah
Post by: fatbury on Monday, September 29, 2008, 16:29:09
Aljofree was very poor - supposedly the most experience defender in the side.. He doesnt lead by example - he doesnt lead by talking to the other players?? So why is he captain?? Why has Ifil been dropped and not Aljofree when he makes just as many mistakes??

Plus his attitude generally stinks right now ...

Title: Re: Amankwaah
Post by: sonic youth on Monday, September 29, 2008, 18:19:16
anyone else get the impression aljofree doesn't like pressure?

prone to mistakes on the ball or with attackers bearing down on him, shoots off his mouth at teammates, can't deal with a bit of stick from fans when playing poorly...

Title: Re: Amankwaah
Post by: michael on Monday, September 29, 2008, 18:25:05
But strangely at times he looked class, on a couple of occasions he intercepted a through-ball by bringing it down on his chest and broke out of defence with it. Another time he hit a superb diagonal ball out that had their fullback in all kinds of trouble, we ended winning a corner from it. Obviously he got boo'd for hitting a long ball and didn't get the appreciation he deserved for his defensive prowess...

I get the impression that Aljofree is a cunt. A lazy, useless one at that. And no I'm not using him as a scapegoat, I'm judging him on how well he's playing and his general couldn't give a fuck attitude. The fact he's captain means I may judge him harsher than others but both he and JPM should be strung up by their bollocks by the big lamp post in the mifddle of the County Ground. If we get a new manager they should be left to waste in the reserves for the remainder of their contracts.

There isnt a big lampost in the middle of the county ground?

Title: Re: Amankwaah
Post by: chalkies_shorts on Monday, September 29, 2008, 18:32:25
There is, I'm sure. Well maybe not a lamp post but a big lighting thingy. Oh, you know what I mean - well maybe not. A thing that lights up the fucking roundabout. If I've imagined it then they should be dropped at the Kassam in their Swindon shirts with fuck off Scummers tattooed on their arses holding bananas.

Happy to help.

I've just driven past the Magic and there is a bloody great big floodlight / lamposty thing in them iddle so my original comments stick. JPM and Aljofree should be strung by their nads from it.

As to his shiteness, I'm willing to bet that if Malpas goes the new manager will play Aljorfree every game, as long as he's fit.

It's the manager who makes Aljofree look shit' he's looked ok'ish under sturrock and wise' He's no captain tho.Or just maybe our players can't adapt from playing hoofball to the passing game'perhaps they should go back to the sturrock way of playing if it bring's us three points.

Aljofree is like all of our players, plays better in a confident team thats playing well.

Whilst him and JPM are getting the majoirty of stick. Craig Easton has been by far the worst player when compared to performances from the previous season. He is like a completely different player this season
