Title: Iphone 4s unlocking help
Post by: 4D on Sunday, November 17, 2013, 19:24:02
Dear friends  :)

I have purchased an iphone 4s off ebay and although it has no sim card the phone is locked to Vodafone. I need to get it unlocked and moved across to three network. I believe I have to get a NUC (National Unlock Code), but the link I was given by Vodafone basically asks whether I am a PAYG customer etc. What if I'm not a customer?  :sherlock: :sherlock:

That's why i haven't bought one from Ebay!

Ask the person you bought it off whether they had the phone running on Vodaphone. If so, ask them to fill in the Vodafone unlock form.

That's what I did when I bought one off a friend who had it locked to O2.

Plenty of unlocking options on the site where you got the phone from

iphones are technicaly only unlocked when new and once a sim card is inserted the carrier locks it to that sim.
You would need to contact the carrier, best off by phone as its quicker, think they charge 10 quid.

4D, did you manage to get the phone unlocked in the end? If so, how?

I'm in the same predicament.
