Have you tried turning it off and on again?
You could also use CCleaner (free download). In the tools section there is a drive wiper tool that will wipe the drive so nothing can be recovered.
CCleaner is also very useful for giving your system a quick tidy to delete all the crap that accumulates over time.
I always forget CCleaner has that function. It looks like it'll work too, cheers.
