http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30276764Leeds owner Massimo Cellino disqualified by Football League Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino has been disqualified by the Football League and asked to resign from the club.
The Football League took the decision after obtaining documents from an Italian court, where Cellino was found guilty of tax evasion.
It believes Cellino has breached its "fit and proper" ownership test.
However, he will be entitled to return to the club from 18 March 2015 and can appeal against the League's ruling.
I didn't think it was possible? In other news I see Agombar Sr has been in court with claims of finding funding re: hereford.

That's alright he will appeal it wont be heard until next year then he will have x time to get it sorted and he will only need to resign for 1 day - thought if he fails though that was it, but he will appoint a 'freind' and continue to run it behind the scenes

Quite so, just like Agombar at Hereford.

Cellino: Rape, murder, arson, and rape. The FA: You said rape twice. Cellino: I like rape.

See extract from the first para of the doc available at the link below but copied out here as well: "On 18 March 2014, a court in Cagliari, Italy, issued a judgment in criminal proceedings brought by the Public Prosecutor of Cagliari (no. 7354/12). The court declared Mr Massimo Cellino guilty beyond reasonable doubt of the crime of evasion of import tax payable in respect of a boat.........." http://www.football-league.co.uk/documents/oadt-decision-cellino549-2116187.pdfGiven Cellino's conviction for tax evasion, rest of the doc describes the basis for the football league's decision to disqualify him "from holding office or acting as a relevant person". Final para is interesting re the FL looking at whether Cellino and/or LUFC have withheld info - don't know what the penalties are if found but all looks rather ominous. Question is, does Cellino continue to bankroll the club behind the scenes whilst he serves his disqualification. They're stuffed if he gives it up as a lost cause.

Don't know what the fuss is all about to be honest, who hasn't been a bit careless with the tax when importing a boat.

I had a boat once....and certainly didn't pay any tax on it.

With all due respect to your boat Reg which I'm sure was very nice, but I'm guessing it was perhaps a slightly less grand affair than Cellino's. In fact I'd venture so far as to suggest your boat as a whole wasn't worth a fraction of the £300k tax due on Cellino's luxury yacht. Even if you threw in the oars
