Yeah what an absolute bargain. Didn't think Liverpool had much of a chance next year but now they've got Crouchy they could sneak into the top 3. Crouch could be the man to watch this year.

Go on Crouchy!

I am transferring him into my fantasy team as we speak.

thats mental when you consider morientes only cost £6million! no wonder there are loads of foreign players in the premier league when english players go for over-inflated fees like that! shaun wright-phillips is never worth £21million either! £10m at the most i would say.

but then again liverpool did pay £11miliion for emile heskey once upon a time, so they probably think crouch was cheap  :-))(

ah ha ha ha. That transfer's made my day. I work with a Liverpool fan who didn't want Liverpool to buy him, and a Southampton fan who didn't want Southampton to sell him, so they're both fucked off. Tremendous.

As much as people rip it out of him I can see him bagging 20+ this season, given that Liverpool will have 4 competitions (5 including the super cup) to enter.

It's often the foreigners who go for the over inflated fees though, Crespo, Juan Sebastian Veron, El Hadji Diouf etc..

Rooney was an absolute bargain at £20 million and Shaun Wright-Phillips is not too expensive either as he has huge potential, he could be worth a lot more than that in a few years. £30 million for Gerrard would've been a good price too. I mean people were talking about £90 million for Ronaldinho.

I can't. He's the new Heskey without question. Does this mean Milan Baros is off do you think? He wasn't too happy about being left out sometimes last year.

Yeah, consider Duff cost £17 mil 2 seasons ago, only another £4 mil for SWP is reasonable.  As reasonable as an obscene fee like that can be anyway.
