 Priestley did his work at Bowood House, when he was employed as librarian by a Shelbourne.......it tells you all about it there.

Bowood house is in Derry Hill though surely?

The adventure playground there is amazing, the Death Slide used to scare the nuts off me.   :shock:

I'm guessing that although Priestley did his research at Bowood , he must have had a billet in Calne....a Rotten Borough much much loathed by William Cobbett....

william peel as in the "peelers"was mp for chippenham, i think he was from there.

and didnt eddie cochrane die in chippenham? cant think of anything else

 Priestley may well have lived in Calne, but he did the research at Bowood, now you've finished exams Johno, here's a bit of education for you......find out if Priesley lived in Calne and whereabouts it was.

You're not allowed to go down the death slide if you're over 12, but you can break in at night easily.  I'm a bit old for that now.

David Icke did/does live in Chippenham........watch out for those reptilians :shock:
