Swindon dont exist in reporters eyes. in 04 we got no credit for reaching the play-offs whatsoever and we barely got a mention

This is the match report from The Daily Mail Football pullout:-

"Huddersfield boss Peter Jackson will be concerned that early season promise is fading after his side failed to cope with renewed expectation against basement side Swindon.

Although Chris Brandon spared Huddersfields blushes with a second half leveller, they rarely displayed the quality or the confidence one would expect of a team fighting for the League One title.

They had gone behind on 40 minutes from an Andy Gurney penalty, though Nathan Clarke had a good case to protest after ref Andy D'Urso adjudged him to have handled an innocuous punt into the area.

The goal, at least, sparked them into action, with Pawel Abbott wasting two good chances and Andy Booth heading straight at Tom Heaton from six yards."

Now i never went to the game but from what i heard we were all over them and should have won, funny how they didnt mention about the Huddersfield player taking out Pook when he was the last man and only receieving a Yellow card.

This one is quite good from footymad:

"Swindon, rock bottom of League One, threatened to embarrass the joint leaders and thoroughly deserved a second successive league point.
Onuora is still waiting for his first league victory but his side went close against a Huddersfield team which had too many players out of form.

Midfielder Andy Gurney was the main dangerman for the Robins and his dead ball skills ensured a difficult afternoon for the home side.

....Huddersfield staged a frantic finale in four minutes of stoppage time and Abbot headed wide when well placed but a point was the least that Swindon deserved."

Thats the one I read this morning which inspired this post.

Not one mention of us playing well, just Huddersfield playing poorly....

Had 2 pretty decent free kicks on target, both from about 25-30 yards. I wouldn't say it was a skill per se, just whacks the ball as hard as he can in the general direction of the goal. Likewise with the penalty

Hudds fans threw the teddies out of the pram at every decision the ref made! They booed most of our players, from memory,,,,Hobo, Gurns, Nicho, Migz and Pook all got booed at some point. Just because your losing (they were at the time)
