But he's trained every day for months and played reserve games.  I'm not claiming he's become the new Jimmy Glass overnight, but of all positions on the pitch, its surely easier to get match fit playing in goal?

I've nothing against the bloke, I hope he quickly gets back to his form of last season, trouble is we've not seen anything even close to that so far.

it's not match fitness though is it?

if you were off work for the best part of a year and got thrown in at the deep end at short notice, you'd probably struggle a bit

Buts he's been in training since the start of July (??) Its not like he turned up at the club for the 1st time in months on Friday (having been sat in his pants watching porn for 12 months) and got told he was playing is it?

He's not been very good this season is my point, and we cant really afford to be carrying a keeper hoping he gets good again. He needs to improve. Maybe he should paint a picture of himself having a great game like that fella in heros in the hope it comes true

TBH i think brez is getting stick for his performance against

When he sliped in the opening minutes he did fantasticaly well to recover and pull off a great save

The penalty, well he cant save em all

The seconds goal, slack defending from comminges, let the PV player past, ok you'd expect Brez to save but its not entirley his fault.

Though he made some good save in the match, oh wait, no he didint save them, after all if the ref gave us a goal kick, brez obviously didint touch the ball

Smith > Brez on current form, at this precise moment, therefore if Smith is fit, he should be playing.

I don't understand why everyone was saying it was a harsh penalty, saw it on SSN last night and looked pretty stone-wall to me!

If you throw yourself to the ground with your arm in the air and you block the goal-bound shot it's handball, deliberate or otherwise.

having seem the virgin highlights its no way a pen, or brez's fault with the second goal.

none of the vale players or fans even appealed for the penalty, the linesman didn't see it either.

haven't seen it yet myself but it looked accidental to me...

Same as.

Wonder if Brez will be dropped next game?

More a case of Smith deserving his place than Brez being dropped surely?

Sorry, Dave, but handball has to be deliberate, doesn't matter where on the field it is, or where the ball may have been going.

Flipping heck I'd hate to be a footballer.  One minute you're flavour of the month, a saviour, then you're banished to the slag heap.

Brezovan's not finished by a long way.  Keep the faith.

Exactly my point but Swindon fans are so fucking fickle it angers me!
I suppose now Paul Sturrock has said in his update today that Robbo has not been at his best all the fans are gonna get on his case and suggest PS ships him out! - The fans do fucking everything PS says and agree with everything he says! If he was to say the sky was green the fans would believe it!

And to say Smith is better than Brezovan is a fucking joke! Brezovan is a premiership goalkeeper, Smith is league one at best! And i feel sure if Brezovan had have been in goal half of these goals gone against us, where Smith has been in goal, Brezovan would have saved! Its not Brezovan costing us games, it's Smith but because PS said Smith is the better goalkeeper - oh it must be true! Grow up for fuck sake!

i think it's a pen. his hands were outside the boundary of his natural body shape, and deflected a goal bound shot.

anyway, we were shite. let's move on to the next game.

I always thought the whole intentional / unintentional thing was a bit of a myth. And it's handball whatever, although obviously ref's should use a bit of common sense.

Fuck knows though. I ain't no ref.
