Are there any chants of Cooper's Red n White Army yet? Because there bloody well ought to be - he's doing a very good job at the moment.

PS. Laufav, will you take your monomanic trolling and fuck right off? You add precisely nothing to this forum.

Shame to hear Obika's injured seemingly quite badly, but other than that, wham bam, thankyou m'am. 3pts, 3 goals, clean sheet, 2 lads added to the club scorers list.

And Andy Williams has been fixed! Did he use to have his boots on back to front or something?

There were at the Sheffield Game.

From another site, what a bellend.

This is good.  Leaving aside for a moment that we're one of the bigger clubs in the division anyway, it can only work in our favour if Barnsley, Sheff United etc. are approaching games against us with an 'it's only Swindon' attitude.  Their loss.  (No pun intended.)

Fair few out there still probably see us as 'Paolo Di Canio's Swindon' without the PDC.  I'd be more than happy for the opposition to continue to underestimate us.

Being a bit under then radar, is never a bad thing. A bit like Leyton Orient were last season, OK they missed out at the end, but it was close.  This season they pretty much started as promotion favourites and so far it hasn't happened.

I thought Smith was immense today, especially the way he chased the full back down for Williams goal and the midfield were fantastic again. Some of Stephens tackling was superb and all in all a great a day out.Barnsley were shit though and Wilson must be nervous when he sees the chairmans number displayed on his phone

TBH, all we had to do from last season was to sort the away form out - which we have done.

We appear, though, to be very potent - more so than last year.

How the fuck did we lose to the Creepies?

I still have concerns about the depth of the squad.  At some point, we are going to have an injury pile up and we're going to be stretched in terms of personnel.  And we have a young, enthusiastic, motivated and energetic set of players - but how will they perform this winter in difficult conditions when the passing game may not be as effective, and we're a few players down, and there's little in the way of experience to draw on?

I'm not down.  Far from it.  I'm just recognising that there are going to be many hurdles to jump between now and May.  It's going to be a struggle, and we are likely to lose an influential player or two in January as well.

A cracking start - and well done Mark Cooper for that - but just a start.  Every game as it comes now.

And get well soon, JO.

We do now have a bit of cover in the squad....you're always going to get injuries etc...if lucky then they're spread out rather than being all at once.  It seems as if Ben Gladwin is nearly back to full fitness, I hope he can get back to where he was before the injury, as he can be a key player for us.
