Great and needed win considering it's Lincoln on Tuesday who will surely give us a good going over, before a big one in seven days home to Northampton... Won't be dissecting the game. Will simply enjoy the points. Twine's goal was a world class tap in.

In all the excitement, those who watched, what was the goal actually like? Twinish or simpler?
He had only had the goalie to beat from well inside the box. Far from Twinish.

Twine's goal was a very smart finish. Easy to miss that.
Glass half full tonight. We were terrible, but so were the conditions. We stayed in the game. We had some luck. We've nicked it and we're out the bottom 4.
Shez goes at the end of the season no matter what. Goes without saying I'd rather we're in L1 than L2 next season.

Massive win ahead of some really tough fixtures coming up. It’s not going to be pretty, this season never was going to be thanks to the impact covid has had on recruitment, but I’m pleased there seems to be plenty of fight amongst the squad and we are giving it a go. As Super Hans has said above, I’m just going to enjoy 3 points on a Saturday night

Twine's goal was a very smart finish. Easy to miss that if your name was Mandron.

Fucking hilarious how we even got a point out of that.
Sympathies are with the Crewe Fans, but not the Crewe players. Missing that many clear opportunities on goal almost deserves punishing. It’s happened enough times to us over recent years.
Don’t like digging players out but how Garrick is getting a start ahead of anyone else is completely lost on me. One of the least threatening players I’ve seen since George Barker was here. Our threat level on the Crewe defence upped from very very low to just low when he was hauled off for Hope.
As for the rest of the team, the individual performances were a long way off perfect, but I’d say adequate for the bottom half of this league without getting relegated. The main issue though is that it looks like the players have all been training in isolation from each other. Just what the fuck is Sheridan doing with this lot between matches?

Just on Garrick. He's a winger. Should not be being played upfront. When he drifts wide in 1v1 situations, he's dangerous. Put one on a plate for Brett, Brett, Brett, Brett Pitman, Brett Pitman.

Me too. Frankly, I'd give most players a free pass with this season's coaching.

A rare agreement there. He isn't even supposed to be here.

Grounds: - Stuck to the plan - Pressed high - Knew they were a good football team - Did that well in the first half - Rode our luck at the end - Brilliant save from Wollacott. Game could have been very difference it they'd scored - Have to stop losing the game in the first 20 mins - Bonus not having a game last week to enable work on 5 at the back - Knuckled down on thursday and friday in training - Had been raring to go. Wanted to help - Building block. Its one result - Found it difficult to put back to back wins together - If we do, then we'll climb the group of 7 at the bottom - Lots of wind today. Helped us in the second half - Pitch has taken a bit of a hit recently. - Need to concentrate on bounce of the ball - Broadbent headers important in second half - Dont have a dressing room where we are all together and can go out and interact (because of Covid) - Spending more time in training has been good. Can't spend time eating together, socialising etc to build team spirit. Lots of Tuesday/Saturdays lessen bonding time - Wasnt pretty today but we got 3 points - Turned the ball over and gave away chances - Ground them down and nicked one at the end

Wollacott 8 Absolutely superb save in the first half. Looked assured with crosses. Quite impressed. Not a lot he could do with the goal. Big hole between his legs for the offside goal mind!
Thompson 5 Is this the same player that was awesome on debut? He was so lucky not to give away a penalty for a massive shove to stop their forward connecting with a clear header in the second half
Grounds 4 Always wrong side of the striker. He and Broadbent decided not to bother to mark Mandron all game! Also, so bloomin slow. Lucky to get away with only conceding one.
Broadbent 4 Awful return. In the first half, he was at least 10 yards upfield from the player he was supposed to be covering. When going for headers, they all went off target to a Crewe player. He got better as the game went on, but kept letting his man get goal side. Headers improved in the second half and made a couple of good interceptions (with his head).
Conroy 5 Slightly better than the other two, but Christ, his lack of pace. Had to play RB at times to help cover Caddis. Couple of good interceptions/blocks
Caddis 5 Tried hard, as always, and was given license to play a bit further forward. No one to play with going forward. Conroy helped him out lots defending
Payne 5 Probably the liveliest of the midfield. Faded though and offered little for most of the game.
Missilou 3 Positioning woeful. Did nothing. Poor game
Palmer 5 Good delivery for one or two corners. Provided little else, other than the pass to Pitman in the build up for the goal.
Garrick 5 First touch of a rapist! Awful in the first half at best! Improved in the second half. Turned his man a couple of times and was like grease lightening. But, didn’t know what to do on a couple of occasions when through. One piece of skill set up Pitman for a very good chance that he wasted.
Pitman 7 Used as a battering ram again. Flicked and over headed a few to try to put Garrick through. Missed one golden chance. Made a couple of others. Also, cute back heel to Hope who shot at the keeper for the rebound to come to Twine to score.
Subs: Twine 6 Came on at 71 mins. First touch at 82 mins. Scored at 94th minute with second or third touch!
Hope 6 Came on at 81st min. Had a couple of possessions. Shot at the keeper to get the rebound for Twine to score!
Odimayo N/A Came on in 81st min and they didn’t score!
