5 league goals and counting...

Hello All,

Believe this is my first thread, so go gentle!  Bye

I was just going over the past season in my mind, and remembered the number of games that ended up in draws, that we should have easily won had we just been able to score. Billy averaged twice as many goals after Charlie arrived than before. Eek

I really don't think we can afford to go through a sustained period of drawing games we could, and should have won. Not if we seriously want to be challenging for the autos. I feel we need to be seen with a strike partnership, at least as potent as Charlie/Billy was, and from the first game of the season. So my question is this...

Vince + Charlie as main strikeforce? Others to back up, if so who?
Someone else + Charlie as main strikeforce? With Vince backing them up?

Opinions?? COYR!!

I'd imagine the start of next season is Pericard's moment. I'm sure it'll start with Carlie + Vince as the main two with 1 or 2 A.N.Other being loaned to make up the numbers.

I don't know if that will be good enough. Based on what we've so so far no it won't. But then VP has not been fit since he got here, and every now and again he shows a little something (though not goals, obviously:)).

Of course it may be 'too late' if things don't work out for him. That's the price of not getting promoted and losing some of your key players I suppose.

I like the idea of Pericard & Austin.

Pericard hasn't been given much chance yet, but looks a decent player and a handful.
Give him a run in the team, getting his match fitness up aswell and lets see what he can do.

I'd like to see Pericard fit and given a run in the team.  He scored a few and was rated by Carlisle fans so obiviulsy has a lot more to offer that he has so far here.

That said, if he didnt deliver after 10 games I'd fuck him off.

Regardless we clearly need to sign a couple of strikers, prefrebly one with pace.

A quick youtube search shows he can score goals.

I'm just wondering can we afford to give him a run of 10 games, and for him to not score 3 or 4 goals or so?
