A little birdy told me last night that a pre season friendly is being lined up against Liverpool. Also a game against a top 4 spanish team, and if that doesnt come off then celtic have been approached.

Scot Munroe will be cumming in his pants.

Also apparently Michael Nelson was at the club on Friday.

I do however suspect that this is all bollocks.
Unfortunately I don't think there's much truth in the Liverpool fixture.  I asked one of my mates who's a fan and apparently they have announced all their friendly dates already

Yeah, they have. I can't remember the dates, but im pretty sure a fixture with us wouldn't fit into Liverpool's plans.

I've heard Cardiff want us as the grand opening to their new ground.  Of course, I live in Cardiff, and I heard it in my head.

I'm off to the fridge - there is more booze in there.  I like booze.

They ahve usually announced the 'pre-season' tour by now, but it is all quiet.

Maybe they are waiting for the play-off's to finish to see if we can announce a game against a Pre / Championsip/L1 or L2 team  Cheesy

Does it really matter if we don't play glamouous teams? I'd rather play the likes of Cheltenham away as that's the kind of fixture we'll be having next season.

Totally agree, the only bonus of a big name club is a bit of a pay packet on gat reciepts, which is pretty doubtful we would get more than 7,000 or so for almost an team in a friendly, especially when most teams would bring the youth team and reserves with very very few well known players.

Like Portsmouth? In retrospect that game did nothing for us apart from set the tone from our fans for the season. All week people were just getting excited about Peter fucking Crouch. Still, at least they put out a strong team but we didn't see much of the ball.

Games against opponents like Cardiff will be more useful.

If fans want to take pre-season and use it as a bench mark for the rest of the season then thats their problem.  Most of us know pre season means very little.
