Title: EFL Trophy Post by: JoeMezz on Wednesday, August 31, 2016, 08:30:28 Just wondering this question, personally think a boycott is a boycott - I won't be going to any of the games this year
Title: Re: EFL Trophy Post by: ibelieveinmrreeves on Wednesday, August 31, 2016, 08:58:59 No - quite right, if you boycott then go to the final, that defeats the whole purpose.
Title: Re: EFL Trophy Post by: Reg Smeeton on Wednesday, August 31, 2016, 09:09:32 No - quite right, if you boycott then go to the final, that defeats the whole purpose. It's never that simple though is it? Theresa May can say Brexit means Brexit, yet is today hosting a cabinet meeting, because none of them has a clue what that means. I've come to hate Wembley Stadium, so will boycott that if it happened, yet could almost be tempted by a game v Reading 2nds, if played at some obscure non league ground, just for a laugh. Some might also think boycott the Academy 2nd games, but go to Newport or Exeter etc. Some may wish to boycott the CG, to hit Power in the pocket but be happy to travel. Title: Re: EFL Trophy Post by: adje on Wednesday, August 31, 2016, 09:14:09 Brexit doesnt mean anything.its not a proper word.
Title: Re: EFL Trophy Post by: Tails on Wednesday, August 31, 2016, 09:20:53 Brexit doesnt mean anything.its not a proper word. Sounds like a breakfast bar to me Title: Re: EFL Trophy Post by: Private Fraser on Wednesday, August 31, 2016, 10:21:24 Sounds like a breakfast bar to me ...or a laxative. :) Title: Re: EFL Trophy Post by: fuzzy on Wednesday, August 31, 2016, 10:28:02 Hate Wembley so that is enough (for me) reason not to go to a final of the Schoolboys 11 versus mighty Reds.

Title: Re: EFL Trophy Post by: Sippo on Wednesday, August 31, 2016, 10:42:27 It would be interesting on peoples thoughts, when their team starts to really well in the competition...
Title: Re: EFL Trophy Post by: donkey on Wednesday, August 31, 2016, 19:42:35 C Hi
It would be interesting on peoples thoughts, when their team starts to really well in the competition... If no mention of the game is made on here, I'll have no idea how we've done. Fuck the tournament. Title: Re: EFL Trophy Post by: leftside on Wednesday, August 31, 2016, 20:50:00 No for me. I've made a decision not to endorse the competition. How poorly or well Town do is irrelevant.
Title: Re: EFL Trophy Post by: Ells on Thursday, September 1, 2016, 18:20:40 I'm wondering who has actually said yes?
Title: Re: EFL Trophy Post by: suttonred on Thursday, September 1, 2016, 18:43:57 I'd go to a normal match, no way would I attend against an academy side, even if it was the final.
Title: Re: EFL Trophy Post by: Costanza on Thursday, September 1, 2016, 18:56:08 If I'm honest I was initially intrigued with the Chelsea U23 fixture as I watch reserves football quite and would've willingly watched to see a comparison.
However, Chelsea have loaned out approx. 4 million players so that killed my mild intrigue. Looking at the results on Tuesday felt predictably farcical. Title: Re: EFL Trophy Post by: Mother Brown on Thursday, September 1, 2016, 19:44:02 Sounds like a breakfast bar to me Would you risk it . . for a Swisskit ? Title: Re: EFL Trophy Post by: suttonred on Thursday, September 1, 2016, 19:57:00 3rd button needed as I would go against say Doncaster, but not against Chelsea.
Title: Re: EFL Trophy Post by: THE FLASH on Thursday, September 1, 2016, 21:07:37 How many at County last night?

Title: Re: EFL Trophy Post by: Hitchinred on Friday, September 2, 2016, 12:46:23 Planning to go to Exeter as two previous attempts were thwarted due to Christmas snow and late rain. The number of grounds I've visited is diminishing and this is a chance to slow that down.

Was planning the same but fuck the competition Title: Re: EFL Trophy Post by: suttonred on Friday, September 2, 2016, 19:05:13 Planning to go to Exeter as two previous attempts were thwarted due to Christmas snow and late rain. Title: Re: EFL Trophy Post by: Batch on Sunday, September 11, 2016, 15:19:06 nah, it's the football league that have sold out.
(badum tish) Title: Re: EFL Trophy Post by: jayohaitchenn on Sunday, September 11, 2016, 15:27:08 Ha. Good.
Title: Re: EFL Trophy Post by: Costanza on Sunday, September 11, 2016, 15:41:55 I bet Marco van Ginkel is dreading his return to the CG. He's listed as a Development squad player these days.
Title: Re: EFL Trophy Post by: Posh Red on Sunday, September 11, 2016, 15:47:11 Tickets going well then! https://www.eticketing.co.uk/swindontown/details/event.aspx?itemref=1733 Good, hope no fucker turns up Title: Re: EFL Trophy Post by: Jimmy Glass is an Alien on Sunday, September 11, 2016, 18:47:57 Interestingly none of the academy sides were at home in the first round of fixtures. I'd be intrigued to see what kind of attendances they get at their home games.
Title: Re: EFL Trophy Post by: jayohaitchenn on Sunday, September 11, 2016, 19:09:32 They aren't playing at home in the competition
Title: Re: EFL Trophy Post by: Jimmy Glass is an Alien on Sunday, September 11, 2016, 21:04:19 Some are but not until the final group games

Title: Re: EFL Trophy Post by: chalkies_shorts on Monday, September 12, 2016, 12:44:06 They have got 37 players out on loan. Not going, won't watch on stream either - a boycott is a boycott.
Title: Re: EFL Trophy Post by: Costanza on Monday, September 12, 2016, 12:48:53 If a fan was going for 'names'. I'd expect maybe Eduardo to play in goal and perhaps England future prospects Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Dominic Solanke. Marco van Ginkel might get a game, his Chelsea career was essentially ruined by the injury at the CG in 2013.
Either way, you'd be watching the Vitesse players of 2017-18. Title: Re: EFL Trophy Post by: Ells on Monday, September 12, 2016, 21:25:28 Love this from the trust
