Goals concern me now, because the shooting from almost everyone available is abysmal, except DJ when he hasn't taken 3 more touches than he needed to. Hopefully some of the midfield / attackers have one of those rare occasions when they are on point.

With neither side able to play their top two goal scorers, it would be easy to predict a scoreless draw. But I feel we have enough attacking players to get a win tomorrow, with Hope hopefully opening his STFC goal account.

Can't argue with that. I guess he has a much different role in the side than last season so harsh to judge his stats this season with the last. On his day he can ping them with his left foot for sure. |

MD is 88th on our all time FL goalscorers list.... still time left this season for him to climb a few rungs. If he plays presumably back on pen duties, if not fuck nose who'll take them. |

I agree - We have more varied attacking options. Isgrove DJ Woolery Hope Is good enough in the short term. |

It's a chance for one of Hope, Woolery, DJ or Isgrove to step up and take some plaudits. I kind of fancy a goal coming from Rose/Grant though.
Having said that, I sense a frustrating goalless draw with post/bar rattles and dubious offside decisions that will deny us a goal. Could this be the fixture we look back on and say "if only". Hopefully not and we will receive the 3pts.

Indeed. What it lacks is options/depth/rotation. Bring 2 out-and-out 9s and you'll have tons more flexibility. I remain convinced we'll get at least one before next Friday. |
