one for jbz
I suspect verbal can stand up in court and the weight of probability based on other evidence will be used to assess it
Oral agreements are generally enforceable (contracts for the sale and purchase of land are a bit different). Of course, you have to prove what was agreed. it was more how a judge decides on 'he said, she said' that is the interesting bit. I've no idea other than looking at any physical and anecdotal evidence and deciding on the probability of which side looks most likely to be true

That's quite a wide topic and I can't do it justice to that on this forum. Very briefly, they will analyse the written and oral evidence. This will include considering whose oral evidence is to be preferred - based on, for example, their performance in the witness box.

Will the fact he lied and tried to screw over Clem come into play as to his ‘character’?

Depends on what type of company you keep.

Interesting comment against Fryers rating in the adver......
Zeki Fryers: 6
Fryers was beaten too easily on too many occasions and was culpable for both goals, in part. News of a possible centre-back arriving from Nottingham Forest may be bad news for Fryers.

I saw that and Hefele was who I thought based on their squad and that he has been told he can leave.
Played for Huddersfield the season they got to the Premier, but hasn’t played a game since 2019.

It would take him the remaining of the season to get match fit

Surely, he's referring to Tendayi Darikwa who has been mentioned

Don't see the need for yet another right back. Hefele is a 6 foot 4 German...our last one of those wasnt too bad at all!

Definately more likely to be Hefele than Darikwa as we currently have 3 recognised right backs in the team. FWIW Hefele a year or so ago looked a very very good centre back but lack of fitness could hamper any possible deal I would think. That is if the rumours are true of course. Travers and Thompson both made huge difference to the defence and rumour is we are signing a new centre back from Forest, replace Caddis with Freeman and thats almost an entire new back 5 including the keeper.
